A 2026 calendar featuring historic and contemporary photos by Cook County community members.

As part of our centennial celebration year in 2025, community members were invited to submit photos reflecting on what makes Cook County special to them and what stories they would like future generations to remember. Staff and volunteers then drew from the historical society’s vast historical image collection to complement the themes presented.

This calendar is the result of that project, weaving our past, our present, and our best hopes for the future.
