A collection of stories through historical content and recipes that reflect the deep connection between food and community in the area between 1925-2025.

Through this project, we aimed to capture the unique culinary heritage of Cook County and Grand Portage, featuring a blend of historical and modern recipes and archival photos. To ensure it truly represents the community, food traditions, and stories, we collected recipes from you, our community members, and local restaurants, and mixed it with recipes from our archives and historic cookbooks.

The result is a book with 233 recipes, over 200 pages in length, with over 50 historic and archival photos - with stories from the past included throughout the text.
