February Artist of the Month: Linda Ricklefs Baudry

The Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery is pleased to feature Linda Ricklefs Baudry as its Artist of the Month for February 2026. A Grand Marais-based painter and printmaker, Baudry is known for her use of color and light to explore the "inner celebration" of the natural world.

Her work often utilizes layers of pastel to mirror the complexity of human experience. "Building up layers of pastel is much like building up layers of experience and memory in life," Baudry said on her North Shore Artist League bio page. "I blur the boundaries between my inner consciousness and the natural world."

Through bold backlit profiles and ethereal shadows, her pieces invite viewers into a space of contemplation, balancing nature’s dualities of fragility and strength.

Ricklefs Baudry’s work will be on display throughout the month of February.
