From 1911 to 2009, three generations of the Bally family served Cook County, MN as blacksmiths, chronicling its economic history since the early 1900s. Their repair work progressed from horse-drawn lumber camp equipment to motorized commercial fishing rigs to tourist automobiles and snowmobiles.
The shops today showcase all of the tools, materials, and character of the last 110 years. Stop on in and learn about the family and business behind this iconic facade.
