Join the JHP Art Gallery for the annual Winter Plein Air painting exhibit.

Winter Plein Air is an annual painting retreat at YMCA Camp Menogyn, a wilderness camp with lodge and cabins located a half-mile walk/ski/snowshoe across Bearskin Lake at the entrance to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW).

WPA is not a competition. It is a painting expedition to a wilderness camp to spend 5 days painting the beauty of the BWCAW and enjoying the camaraderie of other painters. At the end, paintings from the retreat may be displayed in a special February exhibit at Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery in Grand Marais. 2020 will be the 11th annual retreat.
