Dog Sledding Exhibit The Cook County Historical Society is hosting a short term exhibit about dog sledding in Cook County. The exhibit is courtesy of the Grand Portage National Monument. The exhibit opens January 1st and runs through the month. On Saturday January 22nd at 3 PM we will host a Small Talk on the history of dog sledding in Cook County. The conversation will include Tim White, Beth Gagnon Drost, Arleigh Jorgenson, and Bruce Kerfoot. Come join us in the community room at the Museum downtown Grand Marais. A great way to get ready for the John Beargrease sled dog race starting about a week later.
